I am a neurosurgeon. I graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarra, completed my neurosurgery residency at the Miguel Servet University Hospital in Zaragoza, including an observership in functional surgery at Toronto Western Hospital, and worked as a staff neurosurgeon at the Miguel Servet itself and at the General University Hospital of Elche.
Since 2005 I have devoted myself to the spine in dedicated units: I head the Spine Unit at HLA La Vega Hospital in Murcia, and I also operate in the spine units of Quirónsalud Torrevieja Hospital and IMED Elche Hospital. I see patients at NG Clínicas in Elche.
My focus is spine surgery and pain treatment with minimally invasive techniques: the least aggression for the best result. But technique is not everything. This is not about operating, but about selecting the treatment, and quite often the best option is not to operate.

Industry and surgical training
I work regularly with the medical device industry —Stryker, Medtronic, B. Braun, NEO, Boston Scientific and Cousin, among others— on implant development and on training surgeons who are starting out.
